About theredbreast

All truth is initially ridiculed. Then, it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as being self-evident.

  1. Many thanks for your comment, Rob! This quotation, as you said by Schopenhauer – I find it both provocative and fascinating. I am mostly referring to truths that are not self-evident, those that sometimes escape the eye. I believe truth is often uncomfortable (therefore it is ridiculed, opposed), but still there is a deliverance in truth. Like in a confession: if you have been naughty, and get caught – in the end you are still relieved, even if you are found gulty. When the truth is exposed.
    See what I mean?

  2. You went and done it. You went and followed Uncle Bardie’s Stories & Such. You are now one of Uncle Bardie’s Band of Merry Followers. Just so you know, Uncle Bardie’s a hoot, and he’s got quite a few whoppers in his bag of stories. Some funny, some not so funny. But all told for your entertainment. Thank you for following his blog.

  3. Hm… I wonder how that will end up applying to the election… Interesting quote. And thanks so much for the follow. I look forward to seeing you around the blogs. 🙂

    1. Regarding Trump…I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. ;-).
But I have to admit to enjoy how the media takes a beating. They have no respect for anything or anybody, why should they be respected?! Behind the words ‘transparency, truth’ they are allowed to report almost without boundaries.
